Claudia and
Some Familiar Faces
Locally sourced and locally grown swing music (that is, original tunes and American Jazz Standards) for listening and dancing.
Children's Videos
I've always thought that my tunes sound like background music for the cartoons I watched as a kid. This is the next best thing--music videos of the children's books I've written over the years. Click the images to watch the videos on YouTube.
Shambo
All three of my grandsons went through a phase where they wanted to become superheroes when they grew up. I used their ideas about superhero names and superpowers, plus some ideas of my own about superpowers, to come up with this story. I was happy that my youngest grandson agreed to be the voice of Johnny.
A Bear's Dream
This children's book explores what a bear might dream about when it hibernates. It's written as a series of questions, in order to encourage children to come up with their own answers.
Mose, the Cat
Mose is a cat who is always getting into trouble. What do you do with a cat like that?
I wrote this book right after my niece was born. The background music is a tune I wrote many years ago for another orange cat, who we called Mowee. When I decided to create this video, the tune popped back into my memory just in time to use in the video.
Sledding
Here's a short video I put together for a children’s book I wrote years ago. It’s based on some nice memories from when I was a kid, and I think it sums up my approach to life:
Just get up the hill and gravity will do the rest!
