Every year, a tiny hummingbird flies all the way from South America to our back yard in New Hampshire. It arrives somewhere around Memorial Day and stays through Labor Day, when it makes the trip back. It amazes me that such a tiny creature can travel such huge distances every year. I wrote this tune one of those day in May when our hummingbird flew up to the kitchen window and let us know it was time to put out the feeder.
